Ramps

Following on from my research board on ramps I have collected together some images of different ramps.

Ramps can be nice features, but only within the suitable space. They can often be a hindrance due to them often requiring a large amount of space. They are very important for disabled access however now adays lifts tend to be used as they requre a much smaller amount of space.

Doors (2)

Following on from my research board on doors I have collected together some different door designs.

I have collected together some images of more traditional looking doors. I usually go for 'all things modern' and would like to introduce more variety into my work. I feel that looking into design in different periods (such as the 60's/70's) will help me achieve this.

Doors

Following on from my research board on doors I have collected together some different door designs.

Below are a selection of modern door designs.

I like the translucent glass used in the door below.

I like the bright colours (quirky look)

Neon lights make this door appear
                                very futuristic.

Studying the design of doors as made me realise that every single detail of an interior is important. I tend to overlook some of the less prominent features such as doors and flooring. Doors are the first thing a person sees so therefore must create some impact as well as being functional.
