Hard/Semi hard flooring

Following on from my selction of research boards I have found a few interesting examples of hard and semi hard flooring used within interiors.

Hard flooring  - bamboo floor

I found this interesting because a different range of wooden textures have been used, it makes the floor become more of a feature .

Semi hard flooring - cork

I found this image particularly interesting. I never associated cork flooring with look very attractive however I think it works well within this modern interior. I will take this into considoration in the future when designing as an alternative to the commonly used woodern flooring.
